Community Guidelines
Effective: July 2026
This is a community of clinicians and builders learning to direct AI inside real practices. A few simple norms keep it safe, useful, and worth your time. One of them is not optional.
The one rule that matters
Never post real patient information. No names, no dates of birth, no medical record numbers, no photos, and no details that could identify a patient even in combination. A rare diagnosis plus a date plus a city can point to one real person just as surely as a name. When you need an example, use a fictional or fully de-identified one. If you are unsure whether something identifies a patient, do not post it. It is always safe to invent the details.
Why we hold this line
This community exists to teach HIPAA-conscious AI. We hold ourselves to the standard we teach. Protecting patients is the whole point of the work we do here, so it starts with how we talk to each other. Modeling the discipline in every post is part of the curriculum, not a footnote to it.
Be collegial
Disagree with ideas, not people. Assume good faith, ask questions before you argue, and share what actually worked for you. This is a place to think out loud and get better, so keep it generous. No self-promotion spam, no pitching your product in threads, and no recruiting. If you have something worth sharing, share the substance and let people ask for more.
No patient-specific medical advice
Discuss workflows, systems, and approaches, not the care of an individual patient. We are here to learn how to build and direct AI, not to manage cases. Questions about how to structure a note, automate a task, or design a private system are exactly right. Questions that amount to asking the group to weigh in on one real patient are not, and they tend to drag identifying details along with them.
Enforcement
We remove content that breaks these rules. Anything that appears to contain real patient information gets removed promptly, and reported patient-information posts are handled urgently. We would rather take down a borderline post and talk it through than leave it up. Repeat violations end your membership.
Report it
If you see something that breaks these rules, use the report button on the post or email us. Patient information reports are handled urgently, so flag them the moment you notice. You will not get in trouble for reporting in good faith, and you do not have to be certain to speak up.
